  • Ten Years Is Not That Far Away

    Ten Years From Now

In ten years, hopefully I have achieve everything that I strive for. I hope that I graduated college and hopefully I will become a great teacher over the years even with human imperfections yet I will try to do the best I can be. I see myself as a role model for many children, someone the students will remember in good means like someone who had a good impact on them. I see myself enjoying the major that I chose as a profession to work in. I want to work as a elementary teacher to teach children because their mind are so young and they can process information well when they are young. So these field is where I hope to be in the next ten years.

Another goal is I will want to start a family because having children is one of the most wonderful experiences a woman can have. I hope we will living in a home that we own and all the bills paid from our own money. The closest to my heart is to be so on top that both my parents would not ever have to work and worry for anything for as long as I have them.

That would be a very nice picture to see in ten years time from now.

  • The New Normal : Everything has changed

    Covid-19 and Me

Everything was going right at its pace untill hard when the whole world was unprepared for it. The way we live has changed.

It has a big impact on me and especially on our fellow Filipinos. Before pandemic, I used to work seven days a week but now only three days sometimes only two. Learning in the new normal is a challenge for the teachers, students, and parents. I only learn from what I understand in my modules, sometimes I just cry because I can no longer understand what’s in my modules.

The way we socialize and connect looks very different . No more gatherings and attending large crowds . I was not able to see my family in this Christmass because of travel restrictions, families are kept apart . But we can still connect with our families and friends — just in different ways !

I’ve learned to save money and be contented with what I have in this time of pandemic.

  • EDUCATION is our passport for FUTURE

    ๐˜ˆ๐˜‰๐˜–๐˜œ๐˜› ๐˜”๐˜Œ

I am Snooky Resty L. Pey-ag, a working student living in Quirino Hill, Baguio City. I am working at Glenns 50’s Diner and currently studying at one of the best school in La Trinidad, Benguet which is the King’s College of the Phillipines. It is my first year and I am currently taking-up Bacher of Elementary Education.

As an elementary education major, I desire to become a teacher because I would like to give back to my community the education that has been bestowed upon me. I was inspired by many of my teachers when I was in elementary on how they help shape the generations of kids become the best they can be and inspire us to grow a love for knowledge. To be a teacher is one of the most engaged members of society, as you’re fostering the values of its future leaders. And I believe being a teacher is a highly rewarding profession in which I can see the changes I can make in others.

Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom.

Cooking can sometimes feel like a chore at the end of a busy day. It’s often tempting to throw a ready meal in the oven or call for take out. But preparing a simple and healthy family meal doesn’t have to be hard or time-consuming. Here are some quick wholesome dishes that you and your family will love. They can even be prepared in advance.

  • Better than Poutine

    Better than Poutine

I know, what could be better that a steaming plate of fries, gravy and cheese curd? Fries, gravy, cheese curd and bacon, that’s what! Throw in some fresh shallots, chilli, and a splash of roasted bone marrow and duck gravy, and we turn this popular French-Canadian dish into a something sublime.

  • Breakfast at my House

    Breakfast at my House

During the week we’re often walking out the door with a coffee in one hand and slice of toast in the other, but on weekends breakfast is never rushed. It’s a late affair, sometimes spilling over to lunch, with lots of reading and chatter in between courses of fruits, poached eggs, honey and toast. One of our favorite things we like to serve when friends are visiting are buckwheat blueberry pancakes.

  • Roasted Pumpkin Soup

    Roasted Pumpkin Soup

There’s nothing better than a warm bowl of pumpkin soup on a cold autumn day. Combine your roasted pumpkin with some onion, garlic, vegetable broth, and a few spices, and give it some time to simmer away. Pair it with a few slices of fresh bread to turn it into something sublime.
